While working in LabDesign I have been working in many corporate videos for different clients such as banks, consultant companies, insurer companies and energy companies. I had the chance to work for EDP Renewables (Euronext: EDPR). A global leader in the renewable energy sector and the world’s fourth-largest wind energy producer, currently present in 14 markets (Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, the UK, US and Colombia).

Work smarter

One of the projects that I was involved was creating an internal corporate video based on good practices for the Human Resources and Operations Department. In the creative team I was responsible for developing the concept, helping with the scripts, creating the storyboard, make the illustrations, select the music and voice over and also helping on the editing process. It is a total set of 3 videos with 3 different main characters.

Video 1

The first video explains some tools for managing tasks such as emails and phone calls in the office and how create boundaries between work and personal life in order to increase efficiency on the job and reduce stress. The video starts with main character, a 30 years old spanish woman that is having a hard time dealing with all the tasks that she needs to do. We decided on using the visual metaphor of the octopus worker, a woman who needs eight arms to juggle all of her responsibilities at the office as well as taking care of her family, household chores, etc.

Video 2

The main character is an young environmental engineer who works in a wind farm. The video explain some tips and tools that might help workers to organise their work and manage time. It also describes how to lead their teams in a arranged and clear way.

Video 3

The main character in this video is a Chief operating officer and explains how to organise successful meetings and how to guarantee a good planning (identify the purpose of the meeting, make sure there is a real need for meeting, develop a preliminary agenda, send the invitation, etc.) and gives practical advice on how to identify and test any required equipment in advance.
